Smilies and message editor

I keep receiving pms about people unable to use smilies and text editors in replies.

The problem that didn't have the smile box and text editor options show up was fixed already, however for browser compatibility reasons you have to activate it yourselves in your control panel:

1 Go to user control panel

2 Go to "edit options" (in the column on the left of the page)

3 Go to the bottom of the new page and you will see a box named "Miscellaneous options" containing the message editor options.

4 Select standard editor or enhanced interface. I strongly recommend standard editor rather than enhanced interface.

I like the enhanced, and I've had it out for some time.

I don't know why people are complaining about not being able to use smilies. It's not like we use them very much anyways. Mainly the noobs are the ones using them a lot. And the spammers.

I use Windows XP and FireFox. And they both pwn. But back on topic, why would people complain about not being able to use smilies? Why not just have a productive post and NOT use smilies? ;)

Because smilies convey emotions better than a descriptive lengthy paragraph. And are a lot easier on the eyes than huge walls of text. Silly goose.
