Um ya, Punishment for posting off topic should be less infraction points then posting porn.

Off topic posts are done by everyone, just look as the discussion me, bottle, and phoenix had in petrol' prices. Its just a natural developement of threads to lead off from one point to another. It may be because one idea is more interesting than another, as long as it isn't trolling in nature which is already covered by another rule, it should be fine.

Exactly. I didn't really mind that my topic went off topic, because i think that disscussions should be allowed to wander, as long as there isn't too much spam.
I'm wondering why peoples names aren't blue or purple, due to the new system.

agree with s3ro.

you need to qualify those laws very very carefully, or start infracting everyone, including mods and yourself.

and laziness is no reason for creating these laws. you got the job, do the work, or walk away.

edit: phoenix: i don't think that's what he's trying to say. (unless you have had a separate conversation).

posting a thread in the wrong section isn't that common and more a newbie mistake than anything and mad mentioned something similiar in some other thread that was posted in the right section and went off-topic,

and it doesn't touch on the trolling infraction at all.

There will be people that post on Topic that should not, I know this. The thing is those that keep doing this will start to get infractioned for this. You should think before you post not just post.
